Home for the Holidays

Christmas in the County Seat  Start the season of good cheer off right with an old-fashioned holiday feeling in downtown Morris. The nostalgic street lights downtown take on a festive glow with wreaths and lights adorning the lampposts. The celebration features trolley rides, carriage rides, a lighted holiday parade, children’s winter carnival, a festival of trees, and a holiday house walk of Morris homes that you won’t want to miss. Each home is decorated in festive holiday fare and many feature some of the downtown merchants best offerings for the season. If you want to get into the Christmas spirit, be sure to visit during Home for the Holidays.

New in 2013 – the House walk will be held on SATURDAY, November 30th from 11:00 a.m – 6:00 p.m.  These historic homes will be featured on this year’s house walk, as well as a festive tea at Immaculate Conception Church.
